Cast your vote today help fund epigenetic research for ME

Action CIND is competing in the annual Aviva Community Fund contest for $100,000 to advance ME and FM research in Canada. Prize money will support the epigenetics research being done by Dr. Patrick McGowan at the University of Toronto to find a biomarker for myalgic encephalomyelitis and fibromyalgia.

The contest has both a public voting phase and a final judging phase. There will be five finalists chosen in the group in which the ME/FM research project is entered. Finalists are selected based on number of votes received. Each finalist is guaranteed to receive $5,000 and have a chance to win $100,000.

The contest has been greatly simplified this year. It just takes a few minutes to register and vote. Registered voters may cast all 18 votes at one time. The voting deadline is October 28, 2016.

To register:

  1. Go to https://www.avivacommunityfund.org/. You may register with just your name, email address, and a password. You will be sent an email with a link to activate your account.
  2. Once activated, go to https://www.avivacommunityfund.org/voting/project/view/16-356. There you will find the option to cast all 18 votes at one time.
  3. Once you cast your votes, you are done! If the link to the voting page does not work, you can search for the project under the More Search Options button using the name of the project, Advancing ME/FM Research in Canada.

Please REGISTER, VOTE, and SHARE contest information with friends today. With everyone’s help, Action CIND can make it to the Finals, win $5,000, and have a chance to win $100,000!

If you have any questions, please send an email to [email protected].
