Join us in the #isignedfive challenge!

Want a way to raise your voice this #MillionsMissing but don’t know how? Perhaps you’re unable to attend a protest in person, or want to do a little something extra to make a difference.

The stopGET petition against graded exercise therapy trials is one of the most vital actions circulating at the moment. With a goal of 10,000 signatures by 15th October, and 100,000 by March, it’s time for everyone to join forces and make this happen.

So I’m challenging you to find five or ten people to sign the call for action each day. Perhaps you can spread the word through friends and family. Maybe bring a tablet to your local support group or community centre and ask for signatures there. Are you well enough to attend a social event? Consider asking friends and family to sign. Using the initiative #IsignedFive or #IsignedTen, you can share your success, get a virtual high five from myself, and encourage others to join the challenge!

Want to help promote the petition?

Go to Facebook or Twitter and show your support.  Encourage others to sign by saying why the petitions are important to you.

Utilize a variety of media to get additional signatures, including emailing friends and family and asking them to sign.  Shorter is best: “this means a lot to me, and it would only take you a minute — would you consider signing?” with a link is very effective.

These acts of mini-advocacy are what brings about fundamental and lasting change, not the heroic actions of a few.  Please consider joining our team and finding five to sign today!
