Honoring Beth Mazur’s Passion for Innovation
There is nothing quite like the #MEAction community! A group of people who come together, who use their voices and skills to demand change. One thing is for sure this community is OUT OF THIS WORLD!
As we come to the end of the year, we want to honor and highlight this amazing community and recognize the legacy of Beth Mazur and her passion for innovation, through some galactic fun, alongside our needed end-of-year fundraising.
We will be traveling across space to visit different galaxies (aka different parts of our work) as we spotlight our accomplishments and the work that is still to be done.
#MEAction has long held the belief that YOU, the COMMUNITY, are at the center of everything we do! You are OUR SUN in this every expanding solar system that continues to grow each year (and you sure SHINE BOLDLY!)
We hope you join us, as we journey into worlds known and unknown! The journey will have its moments of fun, while also acknowledging the gravity and the hardships of this illness.
Our goal this year is to raise $200,000 by December 31st! This money will help us to expand our reach and increase our work’s effect in this community. We plan to BOLDLY go, where no one has gone before!
With your help over this past year, here is what we accomplished:
Recent #MEAction Astronomical Wins:
- #MEAction Director of Scientific and Medical Outreach featured in Time 100 Health and at the Washington Post
- Leading the way with Mayo Clinic commitment to improving treatment and care for people with ME/CFS
- #MEAction’s push to ensure the NIH research roadmap leads to clinical trials
- Robust community support programs like the Severe ME Artist Salon
- #MEAction organized 19 medical education events as part of our #TeachME, TreatME campaign – with over 421 clinicians taking the Mayo CME on ME/CFS
- Support groups and calls, and creation of new volunteer working groups for engagement and action
