First NICE ME/CFS guideline consultation community call 17th Nov
November 17, 2020 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm GMT
Your input is vital as #MEAction UK responds to the consultation on the draft ME/CFS guideline. The consultation was launched by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) on the 10th November and closes on the 22nd December.
We now have 6 weeks to submit a response to this draft, before the committee looks at the guideline again in light of the feedback it receives.
We want you to steer our response and explain what changes you think need to be made to this guideline before the final version is published in April 2021.
There’s going to be a lot to cover, so once the draft guideline is published we will also launch a poll to help us prioritise what to discuss in these meetings.
Both of these calls will be facilitated by Sian Leary and Karima Rahman, with support from Janet Sylvester, Laurie Jones, Denise Spreag and other volunteers. The calls will be held on BlueJeans, a video conferencing software. They will not be livestreamed so you need to register in advance. We will be recording the calls, but only as a reference for when we are writing the #MEAction UK submission. The recordings will not be made public.
Join us at this pivotal moment in the healthcare of people with ME.
Please RSVP below to receive information on how to join the call. Once registered, you will receive an email with the bluejeans link closer to the date of the call.
This is the first of two community calls. If you want to attend the second one on the 23rd November you’ll need to register for that one too!
