#MEAction UK & Scotland: DHSC ME/CFS Consultation Community Call

Join #MEAction UK and Scotland volunteers on Monday 18th September for a discussion about the Department of Health and Social Care’s interim delivery plan for ME, and to contribute to our response.

The UK Government is currently seeking views on an interim delivery plan to improve the experiences and outcomes of people with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). This is an important opportunity for the ME community across the UK and we want to ensure that as many people are represented as possible.

In the hour-long session we hope to cover three main activities:

• A brief overview of the structure and general themes of the consultation.
• Tips for submitting your own individual response.
• A discussion to gather your thoughts and input on what you would like us to include in our responses.

Please note: We are keeping the session to an hour to make it manageable for more people’s energy levels, and this means we will not have time to go through the contents of the plan in detail. 

The session will be online via Zoom. We plan to record the call, but the discussion section will only be used as a reference for when we are writing our response. Individual contributions will not be made public and the recording will be deleted once the consultation deadline has passed.
